...RIGHT... That comment was so ridiculous that Paul Martin is probably laughing his way to a stroke. I'm sure that when the Media contributed to the Liberals' loss in the last election, that was just part of their clever ploy to get Harper in the spotlight and... ASK HIM QUESTIONS ABOUT HIS POLICIES!

On a side note: Why, oh why! Of all the images of Doctor Baltar (from the new incarnation of Battlestar Galactica), I can't find a single one with his big nerd glasses! Now how am I supposed to throw that up next to a pic of Canada's (conservative) Federal Minister of Health, Tony Clement, and make fun of Stephen Harper's Orwellian Cabinet some more.

In that vein, our Prime Minister appears to have cut out the middleman and appointed himself Minister of Information (in addition to his other duties). Even Saddam Hussein didn't expend so much personal effort muzzling his lackeys and battling the press... but I suppose he owned the press in his country. Imagine if POTUS suddenly declared that he (and his staff) would not take questions from the White House Press Corps, choosing instead to bypass them and instead go around the country doing interviews with local republican-friendly papers. How well do you think that would go over stateside? Good? Yeah...

But on the plus side, I hear the Liberal Party Leadership Candidates are "comitting suicide on the walls of Baghdad".
