Side affects may include Diarrhea, Nausea, and Indonesia
I would just like to say that I feel sorry for the people of Indonesia. I don't know what they did, but I'm sure it didn't warrant the treatment they are getting...
...an outbreak that may (jury's still out) be the next step towards that asian bird-flu pandemic that everyone has been postulating and panicking about, East Timor is perilously close to falling into civil war after they fired half of their army (boy, hindsight is 20:20), and now when an earthquake killed 3000 people, all they could say was "It was the worst disaster since the Tsunami". Which was, what, a year-and-a-half ago?
..oh yeah, AND a volcano...
The only good thing I can see coming out of all this is that those few Indonesians who survive all this ridiculous misfortune might all get together and agree that God does not exist; or, if he does, they should agree to all band together and find a way to kill him. Because at this rate, it'll be him, or them.
I guess an optimist would point out that they are really in the news right now: CTV (national) news in Canada currently has about 4 stories about all this crap. You know what they say... there's no such thing as bad publicity, so maybe the tsunami, earthquake, bird flu, Timorese civil-war and volcanic eruption will boost their tourism.
