| Unfortunately, I am finding that these D&D excerpts take too much time for me to write and process. I need to spend more time practicing Flash, making cool web UIs and learning actionscript so that I can make really cool stuff in the future... that, and so I can know enough to be worth a salary. I have no intention of stopping the D&D updates, but I think from now on I may have to cut back to one every two weeks to make more time for the more productive things in my life - the fact is, my website does not make money. If I were to count my website, with the comic and other content as a job, it would pay on the order of 0.01c/hour, in Canadian money... and oh yeah, they don't actually pay you until you hit like $20, or $50, so I haven't actually seen a cent yet. So, unless my # of hits increases by an order of magnitude, AND the amount of ad "completions" increases by AT LEAST an order of magnitude, I can't even count it as a source of income, let alone something that I could support myself on.
Anyway, the UPSHOT of this is that if I put out one every two weeks, I can keep the D&D reports LONG and funny with good storytelling, instead of SHORT and funny like this one. |
